Woody Austin

Woody Austin is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Meta since July 2024, with prior experience as a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer at ICON and a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Klaviyo, where management of a team of five included collaboration on A/B testing systems for high-volume messaging. Woody has an extensive research background in machine learning and high-performance computing, having served as a Graduate Student Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on various algorithm developments and parallel implementations. Early career experiences include internships and research assistant roles at notable institutions, such as CognitiveScale, Sandia National Laboratories, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Woody holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Vanderbilt University.
