Philipp Schoenegger has a diverse work experience in the field of research and forecasting. Philipp started as a Global Priorities Fellow at the Forethought Foundation for Global Priorities Research from January 2021 to December 2022. Philipp then became an Oskar Morgenstern Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University from September 2021 to August 2022. Concurrently, they also served as a Bernard Marcus Fellow at the Institute for Humane Studies from September 2021 to August 2022. In 2022, they joined Metaculus as a Pro Forecaster, and later took on the role of an Analyst from February to April 2023. In 2023, they worked as a Research Analyst at the Forecasting Research Institute and as a Forecaster at Swift Centre. Overall, Philipp Schoenegger has gained valuable experience in research analysis and forecasting throughout their career.
Philipp Schoenegger pursued their education with a focus on both Philosophy and Economics. From 2019 to 2022, they attended the University of St Andrews, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Economics. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2019, they completed an M.Litt. degree in Moral, Political, and Legal Philosophy at the same institution.
Before joining the University of St Andrews, Philipp Schoenegger attended Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz from 2014 to 2018. During this period, they obtained multiple degrees including a Mag.phil., B.A., B.A. in Psychology, Philosophy, German Language, and Literature.
