Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to fill the role of AI Data Operator. This position plays a crucial role in our organisation; responsible for the efficient management, analysis, and optimization of substantial image datasets which acts as the foundation of what we do at Metaphysic. The successful candidate should possess a rich background in data operations, particularly in VFX or similar domains, and exhibit technical proficiency, problem-solving acumen, have common-sense, and a strong visual interpretation ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Handling: Manage, process, and analyse extensive image datasets with a focus on DataOps, drawing from relevant experience in VFX or related industries.

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of data-related technologies and the capacity to rapidly acquire new knowledge. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues yourself effectively.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit a high level of competence in addressing complex data challenges and making informed, common-sense decisions.

• Visual Understanding: While not an artistic role, you are expected to possess a foundational understanding of visual interpretation to evaluate data outputs effectively, leveraging common-sense visual analysis.

• Coding Skills: Proficiency in a coding and/or scripting language (e.g. Python), enabling the automation of data workflows to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

• Bonus: Machine Learning (ML): Offer substantial experience and insights into the field of machine learning; technical and/or theoretical.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering).

• Proven experience in data handling, ideally in a DataOps role in VFX or a related industry.

• Exceptional technical aptitude with a rapid learning curve.

• Outstanding problem-solving skills with an emphasis on common-sense decision-making.

• Basic visual interpretation skills for data output assessment.

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.

• Competence in coding languages such as Python or equivalent.
