Beth Forsyth is a Software Engineer II at Microsoft since March 2021 and has been a Software Engineer at Metaswitch Networks since January 2018. Previously, Beth worked as a self-employed tutor from August 2016 to May 2017, assisting GCSE students in improving their grades in STEM subjects. A summer researcher at the University of Cambridge in 2015, Beth focused on innovative methods of transforming the liverwort Marchantia polymorpha. Experience also includes a summer student role at Newcastle University, where Beth learned to create connectomes from MRI data and authored a troubleshooting guide for future researchers. Early professional experience includes working as a waitress at Dissington Hall from 2011 to 2015, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills. Beth holds an MSci in Systems Biology and a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences (Plant Sciences) from the University of Cambridge.
