Ana Malagon

Ana Malagon has work experience that spans several industries and roles. Ana is currently employed as a QA Engineer at Meter since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Droit Financial Technologies, LLC from July 2018 to August 2019. Ana also gained experience as a Student at Recurse Center from November 2017 to March 2018. Ana worked as a Quantitative Researcher at The Climate Corporation from October 2016 to October 2017, where they assisted with predictive models of foliar diseases in corn using Jupyter Notebook, Python, Pandas, and EC2. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Washington from September 2014 to September 2016, researching microwave electronics, SQUID amplifiers, and cryogenics for the Axion Dark Matter Experiment. Ana also completed an internship through Outreachy (formerly Outreach Program for Women) at OpenStack from June 2014 to August 2014, where they worked on custom metrics for the Ceilometer team.

Ana Malagon completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between the years 2006 and 2009. Following this, they pursued further education at Yale University, where they obtained their Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from 2009 to 2014.
