Anthony Hewat

Anthony Hewat has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Anthony started their career in 1987 as a Manager at Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Durban. Anthony then worked as a Principal Consultant at Strategy Group Deloitte Management Consulting from 1989 to 1991. After that, they joined Gemini Consulting as a Principal Consultant from 1991 to 1993. In 1994, they became the Director of Brait Private Equity and held the position until 2003. In the same year, they co-founded and became a Director of Metier, a position they still hold. At Metier Private Equity including Growth Capital and Sustainability, they also served as a Director from 2003 onwards. In 2009, they took on the role of Independent Non-executive Director at Crookes Brothers Limited until 2018.

Anthony Hewat attended Cordwalles from 1970 to 1972. From 1973 to 1977, they studied at Michaelhouse, where they obtained their Matric and A-levels, with a focus on cricket and golf. Starting in 1978, Anthony attended the University of Oxford, where they completed their MA (Oxon) degree in Mathematics in 1981.
