Joana R.

Joana R. has a diverse work experience starting in 2018 as a Barista at Costa Coffee, where they were responsible for customer service, food and drink preparation, cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness. In 2019, they interned as an Associated Researcher at INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, contributing to a research project on detecting and characterizing CTCs in breast cancer patients. Joana assisted with designing and fabricating microfluidic devices and performing immunofluorescence staining. Joana also worked as a Waitress for a few months at Host Staffing before returning to INL for another internship, where they again assisted in fabricating microfluidic devices and performed immunofluorescence staining. Currently, Joana R. is working as a Cell Culture Scientist at Metrion Biosciences.

Joana R. attended the University of Hertfordshire from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Additionally, in 2023, they completed several certifications from Coursera, including "Analyze Data to Answer Questions," "Introduction to Genomic Technologies," "Prepare Data for Exploration," "Process Data from Dirty to Clean," "Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions," and "Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere."
