Roger Alfred is a senior attorney with extensive experience in land use and transportation planning law, currently serving the Metro regional government since August 2012. Prior to this role, Roger held the position of chair for the Portland Adjustment Committee from March 2009 to June 2017, overseeing quasi-judicial reviews of land use regulation adjustments. With earlier experience as an attorney at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and Perkins Coie LLP, Roger specialized in land use and appellate law, including proceedings before the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals. Roger also worked as an assistant attorney general in the Natural Resources Section of the Oregon Department of Justice and began legal career as a staff attorney for the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals. Roger holds a J.D. cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Arizona.
