David Kelsey has extensive work experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on bus and rail operations. David currently holds the position of Director of Operations at Metro Transit Omaha, a role they assumed in 2022. Previously, they worked for the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) for nearly 28 years. During their tenure at HART, they held various roles, including Manager of Transit Supervision, Safety and Security Administrator, Transit Supervision, Operations Dispatch, Operations Training, and Safety and Security. Prior to their career in transit, Kelsey served as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in the US Air Force from 1979 to 1993.

David Kelsey's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from the University of Phoenix in 2002-2003. Prior to that, they pursued Professional Aviation studies at the Community College of the Air Force from 1983 to 1985, specializing in Physical Sciences.
