Maria Taylor has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Maria started their career as a Management Intern at Macy's South in 2007. Maria then joined Macy's and worked as a Sales Manager and HR Manager from 2008 to 2012. After that, they became a Human Resources Manager at Lowe's Companies, Inc. from 2012 to 2015. Maria then worked as the Director of Human Resources at Sam's Holdings, LLC from 2015 to 2018. Maria later became the VP of Human Resources at Artisanal Brewing Ventures from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, Maria worked as a Human Resources Director at Metrolina Greenhouses INC. Currently, they hold the position of Chief People Officer at the company. Additionally, Maria has also worked as a Member at Chief and as an Advisor at ChangeEngine.

Maria Taylor has a strong educational background in business administration and human resources. Maria obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management- Human Resources from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business in the years 2004 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an International Concentration from the same institution, completing it between 2016 and 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Maria has also acquired various certifications relevant to their field. Maria obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute in December 2013. Maria is also a certified SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and obtained this certification in June 2015. Maria has further enhanced their skills and knowledge by earning the Caliper Essentials Certification from Caliper in February 2021.

Maria Taylor has continued to pursue professional development and expand their network. Maria became a member of the SHRM Executive Network in November 2022. Additionally, in June 2023, they obtained the SHRM People Analytics Specialty certification from SHRM, further demonstrating their commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
