Ayana Dunning

Ayana Dunning currently serves as the Athletic Director at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Dunning was affiliated with West Virginia University from August 2017 to July 2021, initially as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations and subsequently as the Director of Player Development. Additionally, Dunning worked as a Sports Analyst for Learfield IMG College during the same timeframe, providing live color commentary for 150 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball games and generating sponsorship opportunities. Dunning also held the position of Director of Basketball Operations at the College of Charleston from August 2015 to August 2017, where notable achievements included optimizing the operating budget from a deficit to a surplus. Earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Iowa Central Community College and an internship as a Communications Associate with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Dunning holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports Management from West Virginia University.
