Mark Attfield

Mark Attfield has extensive experience in risk management and governance, currently serving as Conduct Risk and Governance Manager at Barclaycard since April 2017, where responsibilities include managing the Corporate Insurance products and compliance with Insurance Distribution Directive legislation. Previously, Mark held various roles at HSBC from April 1996 to October 2015, including Conduct Standards Manager, where the creation and implementation of Conduct Risk measures were key responsibilities. Additionally, Mark has served as a Special Inspector for the Metropolitan Police since December 2019, following a decade-long tenure with the same organization in various special constable roles. Early career experiences include retail management positions at Foothold Sports Shoes and River Island. Mark's educational background includes attendance at King John School from 1980 to 1984.
