Steve Clancey

Steve Clancey is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police since January 2024, focusing on Operation Northleigh. Previously, Steve held various detective roles, including T/Detective Inspector leading a team in domestic abuse and violence against women and girls initiatives, and A/Detective Inspector overseeing serious crimes against children and sexual offences. With a career in policing that began in 1999, Steve has substantial experience in managing investigations into sensitive crimes, collaborating with external agencies, and ensuring compliance with policies. In addition to law enforcement, Steve has a background in management within the private sector and is pursuing a Level 5 Certificate in Police Management from SFJ Awards.
