Jeffrey McCray

Jeff McCray is an accomplished bassoon instructor and performer with a diverse teaching background at several institutions, including Metropolitan State University of Denver, Chadron State College, and Colorado State University-Pueblo since 2019 and 2021, respectively. McCray holds principal positions in the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra and Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, alongside participation in the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra. Previously, McCray served as Associate Professor of Bassoon at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and held visiting professorships at Baylor University and Western Michigan University. McCray's educational credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Bassoon Performance from Michigan State University and multiple degrees in music from Northwestern University and Temple University.
