Chief Information Security Officer at Mettle

Kevin F. has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Kevin is currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for NatWest Boxed, responsible for all aspects of information and cyber security. Prior to this role, they also served as the CISO for Mettle, a digital banking app for small businesses.

In addition to their roles in the banking industry, Kevin is actively involved in the security industry as a member of the ISC2 UK advisory council, where they help shape the future of security industry education and certification. Kevin is also an Advisory Board Member for ClubCISO and LT Harper - Cybersecurity Recruitment, where they provide guidance and expertise.

Outside of the security industry, Kevin has diverse interests. Kevin is a Reflex Nutrition Ambassador, promoting health and nutrition products, and a Co-Founder and Partner of Together Muay Thai and Fitness, a gym that offers various fitness and conditioning classes, as well as Muay Thai and K1 classes.

Kevin's previous experience includes serving as the CISO for FNZ Group, where they built out the 1st line security capability and grew the security team from scratch. Kevin also worked as a part-time coach at CrossFit Bermondsey, contributing to building an inclusive community focused on health and fitness.

Kevin F. attended the University of Hertfordshire from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a 2.1 BSc in Computing and Human Biology. Kevin then pursued a MSc in Distributed Systems and Networks from the same university, completing it from 2010 to 2013. Kevin F. also has several certifications, including the Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification obtained in 2020 and multiple certifications related to information systems security management obtained between 2007 and 2016.
