The Role

The Production Supervisor sets the team up daily to win on all safety, quality, and productivity goals. The Supervisor leads the team to produce finished goods that meet or exceed consumers' expectations. This role is responsible for compliance with internal food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Team training and development is a crucial focus in ensuring a continuous improvement environment that promotes changes that reinforces Mezzetta's Core Ingredients.  

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performance team that puts Mezzetta’s’ culture into action.
  • Supervise and run optimum day-to-day line operations to exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Ensure the safety of production personnel per local, state, and company rules and regulations.
  • Produce a planned schedule to ensure the product is of high quality and available to ship to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF.
  • Maintain systems and processes that optimize and achieve maximum productivity to performance targets and standards for excellence.
  • Apply continuous improvement strategies to stay current with leadership best practices and concepts.  

Qualifications 

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills – maintain a positive attitude and ability to motivate people.
  • A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is required.
  • Bilingual-Effectively communicate in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of mechanical and maintenance processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, outlook, and Word). Possess the ability to learn and utilize manufacturing and other software: Macola, 15Five, Timeclock, ADP, Power BI, and RedZone.
  • Mathematical abilities: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate raw material consumption rates, averages, and production efficiencies. 
  • Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work effectively under pressure.

Education 

  •   University undergraduate degree preferred.
  •   3+ years of leadership or supervisory role.
  •   5+ years in production capacity in food industry (2 years waived with Technical Degree)  
Pay Range
$80,000$95,000 USD
