MacIej Chrabąszcz

Maciej Chrabąszcz is a Senior NLP Safety Specialist at NASK since May 2024 and a researcher at MI2DataLab since July 2022, focusing on neural networks for lung disease classification from CT scans and analyzing transformer-based models for X-ray classification with explainable artificial intelligence. Maciej has been involved with ML in PL as an organizer and member since May 2021 and briefly worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at QED SOFTWARE in July 2023. As an AI Engineer at Sages from July 2021 to July 2023, Maciej developed solutions for automatic image caption generation and document layout detection for visually impaired individuals. Previous roles include Machine Learning Engineer at the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, Data Scientist at Sages, and NLP Intern at Samsung Electronics. Maciej holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Master's degree in Mathematical Statistics and Data Analysis, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Warsaw University of Technology.
