Loren Parra

Chief Resilience Officer at Miami-Dade County

Loren Parra, MBA, currently serves as Chief Resilience Officer and Chief Bay and Water Resources Officer for Miami-Dade County since February 2024. Prior roles include Senior Director of Communications for Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava (February 2022 - February 2024) and Director of Public Affairs at The Miami Foundation (March 2020 - February 2022). Loren held the position of Director for The George Barley Water Prize at The Everglades Foundation (June 2017 - March 2020), managing a multimillion-dollar global science competition. Earlier experience includes serving as Regional Director for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (April 2015 - May 2017) and Operations Manager, followed by Executive Assistant to the CEO at The Everglades Foundation (2013 - 2015). Loren began a legislative fellowship at the Florida House of Representatives in 2013 after completing a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sustainability Studies at the University of Florida, where a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) was also obtained between 2015 and 2017.
