Davian Chester

Davian Chester is a seasoned cartoonist and illustrator with a diverse background in art and design. Currently serving as a freelance cartoonist for Miami New Times since August 2020, Chester creates social commentary cartoons focused on the Black Experience. With a long-standing role at Real Toons since 2010, Chester specializes in producing compelling designs and illustrations for various businesses and entrepreneurs. Previous experience includes teaching art to elementary students as a Teaching Artist with Empowered Youth of Columbus and supervising a computer laboratory for Muscogee County School District. Chester has also worked as a Lead Graphic Designer for Stand And Stretch and directed an art program for Columbus Parks and Recreation. Educated at Chattahoochee Valley Community College, Chester holds an Associate's degree in Design and Visual Communications.
