Insurance

Daniel Gortze joined MIB in 2020 as Chief Information Security Officer. Mr. Gortze is responsible for enterprise information security, business continuity, and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Gortze was Director of Information Security & IT Infrastructure at [Cumberland Farms](/org/cumberland-farms), a privately held convenience store and gas station chain, and was responsible for information security strategy and IT infrastructure operations. Previously, Mr. Gortze was Senior Manager — Security and Risk Consulting at SecureWorks, where he led several consulting teams investigating client data breaches and security incidents. Mr. Gortze is an (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from [Roger Williams University](/org/roger-williams-university) in Bristol, RI, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from the Isenberg School of Business at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

Daniel J. Gortze

Alston joined MIB in 2021 as VP of Member Solutions and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2022. He oversees the direction, control and coordination of all financial activities for the organization. Prior to joining MIB, Alston worked with Crump Life Insurances Services, holding leadership positions in multiple areas including financial planning & analysis, internal sales, and marketing. His efforts in the insurance industry helped him gain recognition as one of Life Insurance Marketing Research Association’s (LIMRA) 2017 Top 25 Rising Stars in Distribution under the age of 40. Prior to joining CRUMP, Alston held multiple roles in the financial sector focused on data and analytics. Alston holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from Shippensburg University.

Dean A. Del Vecchio is the Director at MIB. Dean was previously the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Global Head of IT Services at [News Corp](/org/news-corp) from February 2013 to July 2013. Dean was responsible for all the technology the company deployed and developed, including infrastructure and customer applications. Dean consolidated what was previously a decentralized information technology organization into a unified group to support products ranging from [The Wall Street Journal](/org/the-wall-street-journal) to Factiva and [Dow Jones](/org/dow-jones) Newswires, as well as corporate functions.

From 2007-2013, Dean served as a leading member of the NewsCorp CIO council. Prior to [News Corp](/org/news-corp), Dean joined [Dow Jones](/org/dow-jones) in December of 2005 as Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure Services and was promoted to CIO in October 2007. At [Dow Jones](/org/dow-jones), Dean created innovative new platforms for news and information delivery and discovery while modernizing the systems through which [Dow Jones](/org/dow-jones) communicates and operates. Dean was responsible for shared global infrastructure and application services, information security, business continuity planning, enterprise architecture, project management, strategic sourcing, and IT governance. Dean was also accountable for the real estate portfolio of 160 locations around the world.

During their time at [Dow Jones](/org/dow-jones), Dean served as the company’s Chief Administrative Officer where they created a vision and plan to significantly improve administrative services delivery and underlying processes. Dean also implemented company ESG efforts and was a key driver on a project to install one of the largest solar-power installations at a corporate site in the U.S.

Dean A. Del Vecchio

David Chadwick is the current Director at MIB. Prior to that, they were the Pharmacy Manager at [Walmart](/org/walmart) from October 2016 to March 2018. David has also worked as the Senior Secretary at the [University of Florida](/org/university-of-florida) Alumni Association from July 2010 to August 2011 and as the Internal Communications Specialist and Emerging Markets Project Coordinator at Sandvik Mining and Construction from July 2006 to October 2007.

David Chadwick holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the [University of Florida](/org/university-of-florida), a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Business from the [University of Florida](/org/university-of-florida) - Warrington College Of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration from the [University of Florida](/org/university-of-florida) - Warrington College Of Business.

David Chadwick

As the Chief Information Officer of MIB Group, Inc., Seán McGinty leads enterprise wide infrastructure and engineering with a mission to drive MIB's technical direction, delivering innovation to its member companies. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. McGinty was the CTO at Trillium Software, a leading data profiling and data quality provider, where he led all technology globally and participated in M&A discussions leading to the successful sale of the company. Previously, he served as the CTO of Shoebuy.com/IAC (now [Shoes.com](/org/shoes-com)) where he transitioned the company to the cloud and led product innovations contributing to four years of record revenue growth. Earlier in his career, he held engineering leadership roles with ADP and CheckFree (now [Fiserv](/org/fiserv)). Mr. McGinty holds an M.B.A. Certificate from [Tulane University](/org/tulane-university) (the A.B. Freeman School of Business) and an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from the [National Institute of Technology](/org/national-institute-of-technology). He is a member of the [Association for Computing Machinery](/org/association-for-computing-machinery) (Special Interest Groups on Software Engineering and Mobile), the [Agile Alliance](/org/agile-alliance), and [OWASP](/org/owasp).

Seán T. Mcginty

As Vice President of MIB Group, Inc., Brian Millman currently leads MIBâ€™s Electronic Health Records Solutions (MIB EHR), which provides electronic medical records to support life insurance underwriting. Previously, Mr. Millman led MIB's Underwriting Services operations including membership, new business and account management, product management, and marketing. In his more than 25 years of experience with MIB, Mr. Millman has held a variety of key positions across MIB and its subsidiaries including leading the new product development team, product management, and designing and developing new analytic product offerings. He has presented at many industry conferences including ReFocus, the Association of Home Office Underwriters and the Society of Actuaries. Mr. Millman holds a B.S. in Management from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA and an M.B.A. from [Curry College](/org/curry-college) in Milton, MA. He has an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Brian S. Millman

Tom Rhodes leads MIB's actuarial function within in the Actuarial and Statistical Group (ASG). This group provides statistical agent services for the New York State Insurance Department as well as maintaining responsibility for intercompany experience studies on life insurance, annuities, pensions, long-term care insurance, disability insurance and private placement bonds. ASG performs actuarial and analytical research for insurance companies and reinsurers, and maintains an integral role in developing new products and services for the insurance industry. His role is to serve as an industry leader and to manage the team of actuaries who form the core of MIB's analytics capability. Mr. Rhodes is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He regularly presents at industry meetings and at NAIC meetings on enterprise risk management and Principles-Based Valuation and is a former Chair of the Society of Actuaries Individual Life Experience Committee. Prior to MIB, Mr. Rhodes worked for the Guardian Life Insurance Company for 15 years, most recently as Second Vice President and Actuary. He was also Chief Actuary at the U.S. Veterans Administration. He earned his M.S. in Business Administration from Temple University and has a B.S. degree from [Oberlin College](/org/oberlin-college).

Andrea joined MIB in 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). She leads the product management, sales, marketing, communications, and client relations functions.

Trey joined MIB in 2020 as Executive Vice President, Strategy & New Business Development. In this new role, Mr. Reynolds is responsible for leading MIB’s strategy and new business development teams, focusing on innovation, partnership and bringing to market new value-added products and services.

Christie was appointed General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer in 2021. She is responsible for overseeing MIB's activities in the areas of legal, regulatory and compliance as well as serving as Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to joining MIB, Ms. Corado was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Truist Insurance Holdings, Inc. (6th largest insurance broker in the US and 7th in the world) where she was responsible for the legal and regulatory functions. Prior to that role, Ms. Corado was General Counsel of Crump Life Insurance Services, Inc., one of the life insurance industry's leading brokers and service providers, after initially serving as an Advanced Marketing Attorney with a general agency acquired by Crump. Ms. Corado serves on the Board of Directors of Finesca (formerly AALU/GAMA) and the Board of Governors of Saint Joseph's University Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management. She has extensive insurance industry advocacy experience, including leadership roles on the legislative and regulatory committees of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) and the Wholesale Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA). She retains her insurance license and securities registration to maintain her deep understanding of insurance and securities products and challenges.

Michael C. S. Fosbury

Bruce Baude joined the MIB Board in 2019. He is Chief Operations and Technology Officer of CNO Financial Group, Inc., providing strategic leadership over CNO's operations and IT functions. Prior to joining CNO, Mr. Baude was Chief Operating Officer at Univita Health and served as Chief Executive Officer of LTCG, the industry's largest third-party administrator for long-term care insurance. Immediately prior, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of ProCard, Inc., a subsidiary of global payments processor TSYS. Mr. Baude was previously with Bank One Corporation, where he held various roles including Chief Executive of Banc One Financial Card Services, a third-party payments processing company. He serves on both the National Board as well as the Greater Indiana Chapter Board of the [Alzheimer's Association](/org/alzheimers-association).

Bruce Baude

After serving as General Counsel for the past 16 years (2005-2021), Jonathan is now serving as Special Counsel until his planned retirement at the end of 2021. He was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2005 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2010. He also served as MIB's Chief Privacy Officer. Mr. Sager has extensive experience in life and health insurance as well as expertise in privacy, security, employment, corporate and commercial law. Prior to joining MIB, he acted as Senior Counsel, Insurance Operations and Litigation, and Chief Privacy Officer of MONY Life Insurance Company for 17 years. He also served as counsel to the Health Care Affairs division of Excellus Health Plan in Rochester, New York and counsel to the life and health insurance practice group of the Hinman Straub law firm in Albany, New York. Mr. Sager is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel, and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and Florida State Bar. Mr. Sager holds a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA, where he served as Note and Comment Editor for Washington & Lee Law Review and a B.A. from [Colgate University](/org/colgate-university) in Hamilton, NY.

Jonathan W. Sager

Kevin Love joined MIB Group, Inc. in 2007 with extensive HR experience spanning various industries including financial services, manufacturing, general service and technology. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Love provided HR leadership for [Iron Mountain](/org/iron-mountain) in their off-site data protection & technology escrow businesses and served as Director of Benefits at the Corporate Headquarters in Boston, MA. He began his career in a recruiting specialty, rapidly transitioning into HR leadership roles for Associates First Capital (Citigroup), Energetic Solutions (Orica) and Centex Home Equity Corporation (Nationstar Mortgage) in Dallas, TX. Mr. Love holds an M.B.A. from the [University of North Texas](/org/university-of-north-texas) in Denton, TX and a B.S. in Communication from [Texas Christian University](/org/texas-christian-university) in Fort Worth, TX. Brian joined MIB in 2020 as our President & CEO and member of our board of directors, bringing over 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries. Prior to joining MIB, Brian was Sr. Executive Director and Head of AXA Equitable Holdings’ US Life, Retirement and Wealth Management businesses, where he had responsibility for leading the company’s Life Insurance, Employee Benefits, Individual Annuities, Group Retirement, Mutual Fund, Advisory and Broker-Dealer divisions.
