Katharine is a Barrister in the Agriculture Team, specialising in commercial and regulatory law.

Katharine advises rural businesses and landed estates on a range of complex commercial and regulatory matters including contentious and non-contentious health & safety, public law, and Environment Agency investigations.

As well as working on commercial and regulatory cases, she often works collaboratively with lawyers across the firm, advising on regulatory aspects of litigation, employment disputes, corporate transactions and commercial dealings.

Katharine also has experience in financial services law and spent six months on secondment to the FCA’s Enforcement & Market Oversight Division in London.

Katharine studied law at the University of Durham (LLB (Hons), MJur) and is a member of the Inner Temple. During her postgraduate studies, Katharine completed internships at the United Nations in New York and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London. She has provided research assistance for publications on UK, EU and international law and has taught law at the Universities of Durham and Bristol.

Katharine devised and continues to deliver presentation skills training for the firm's trainees and junior lawyers.
