The board of directors of the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) has a long history of experience in the credit union industry. The current president/CEO, John W. Prater, has been with the organization since 2001 and has served in various leadership roles, including as vice president and general counsel. Prior to joining MCUL, Prater was with BCU and Freeborn & Peters LLP. He also has experience as assistant general counsel at the Illinois Credit Union League.
