Blake Newman

Blake Newman, MSW, currently serves as a Community Planner at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, beginning in January 2023. Previously, Blake held the position of Community and Economic Development Fellow at the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan from October 2021 to December 2022. Experience at the University of Michigan School of Social Work includes roles as a Program Assistant and as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee Student Representative, with responsibilities spanning various tasks and projects from September 2020 to February 2022. Blake holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's of Science in Social Work from Defiance College.
