Martha MacFarlane-Faes currently serves as the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, overseeing all SHPO operations, budget management, and staff direction since October 2010. Martha’s career also includes diverse roles in communications, customer service, and academia, holding a Ph.D. (ABD) in Architectural History, a Master’s in Art History, and a Bachelor’s in Art History from prestigious institutions.
