Jessica Lipon

Principal Viola at Michigan Philharmonic

Jessica Lipon is an accomplished musician with extensive experience in performance and education. Currently serving as Principal Viola for the Michigan Philharmonic and a Teaching Artist with the Sphinx Organization, Jessica Lipon also teaches violin at the MSU Community Music School. Previous roles include viola and violin teacher at The People's Music School, where duties comprised sectional coaching and music theory instruction, and violin teacher at Music House, focusing on group and private lessons. Jessica Lipon's performance experience includes positions as Section Violist with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and Plymouth Philharmonic, as well as a violist for weddings and events through Maestro Musicians. Jessica Lipon's educational background includes a Performance Diploma and a Master's degree from Boston University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Wayne State University.
