Shaw Newman

Shaw Newman is an experienced professional currently serving as the Growth Lead at Alcove since July 2024 and a Board Member of the Michigan Rowing Association since January 2023. Prior to this, Shaw held the position of Carbon Markets and Policy Specialist and Manager of Product Management at Mast Reforestation from September 2022 to July 2024. Previous roles include Product Management Intern at BeZero Carbon, Student Research Assistant at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change & the Environment, and Senior Product Manager at POLITICO. Additionally, Shaw was a Product Manager at Pivvit and a 2018 Venture for America Fellow, gaining experience in startup environments. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
