Silka Sietsma

Silka Sietsma is a seasoned professional in the fields of art, technology, and design, currently serving as a mentor at NEW INC and as an advisory council member for AWE. With experience spanning numerous roles, Silka has held positions such as board member at AIXR and founder of Unblock Machine, focusing on innovative storytelling for games. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Adobe as Head of Emerging Design, George P Johnson Experience Marketing as UX Director Consultant, and Samsung Electronics America as AR/VR Design Director. Silka co-founded Dekko Inc to develop natural AR technology and significantly contributed to Layar's success in mainstreaming Augmented Reality. Silka holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's in Industrial Design from UNSW.
