Amir Kaki

Amir Kaki, MD, FACC, FSCAI, serves as the Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support, Associate Director of Clinical Research, Director of Interventional Cardiology, and Director of Complex & High-Risk PCI at Ascension since 2019. In addition, Amir Kaki holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and has been with the institution since 2012. Amir Kaki is also the Vice President & Chief Medical Officer at the Heart & Vascular Institute of Michigan and has contributed as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University since 2011. Prior roles include Interventional Cardiologist and Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Detroit Medical Center, and positions at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital. Amir Kaki completed a Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Arizona and an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, having earned an MD from Universidad Iberoamericana.
