Craig Brookins currently serves as Vice Provost for University Outreach and Engagement and Professor in the Ecological-Community Psychology Program at Michigan State University since January 2023. In addition to this role, Brookins is the President of the Society for Community Research and Action and a Board Member of Fertile Ground Food Coop. Previous positions include Vice Provost at NC State University Outreach and Engagement and Director of the Center for Family and Community Engagement, where Brookins focused on collaborative learning with families and communities to guide practice and policy. With a distinguished academic career at North Carolina State University from 1990 to 2022, Brookins held various roles including Professor in Psychology and Africana Studies, and received recognition as an American Council on Education Fellow in 2018-19. Education includes a Ph.D. in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bradley University.
