Emilie Smith is a distinguished academic in the field of human development, currently serving as a College of Social Science Distinguished Senior Scholar and Professor at Michigan State University since August 2020. Prior to this role, Emilie was a Professor at the University of Georgia in Human Development and Family Science from 2014 to 2020, and held the position of Janette McGarity Barber Professor and Head at Penn State University from 2003 to 2014.
