Kat Cooper serves as the Chief Communications Officer at MSU Residential and Hospitality Services since July 2018 and has been the Chief Communications Officer for MSU Student Life & Engagement at Michigan State University since January 2007. In these roles, Kat leads corporate communications for a significant university auxiliary operation, managing a gross revenue exceeding $240 million annually and focusing on services for 17-24 year-olds. Previous experience includes managing internal communications for Auxiliary Resources and developing comprehensive marketing plans for the MSU Union. Additionally, Kat has worked as a freelance actor and voiceover talent, a blogger, and an account associate at Doner Advertising, where campaign strategies led to substantial engagement. Kat holds an MA in Advertising from Michigan State University and a BS in Business with a focus on Integrated Marketing Communication from Mars Hill University.
