Mike Walters

Mike Walters is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in higher education and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Application Services at Michigan State University since February 2010, Mike focuses on IT policy creation and strategic alignment with business needs. Previously held roles include CIO and Manager of University Relationship Management, where Mike improved operational excellence through effective business relations, and CIO for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, where security compliance and technology alignment were priorities. Mike's earlier experience includes overseeing complex technology implementations as Network Services Manager, managing critical systems as System Administrator, and leading IT initiatives at Option 1 Credit Union while facilitating a merger. Mike holds a certificate in Organizational Leadership from MOR Associates and attended Lansing Community College.
