Sydney Chen

Sydney Chen is currently a researcher and PhD student at Michigan State University, focusing on Microbiology, Genetics, and Immunology with an emphasis on Molecular Plant Sciences. Previously, Sydney served as a Molecular Biology and Microbiology Intern at Vestaron Corporation, contributing to the design and expression of proteins for eco-friendly bio-pesticides. Sydney's background includes experiences as a Student Ambassador and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Western Michigan University, as well as roles as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Lifeguard/Head Lifeguard. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University.
