Haigang Zhang is a Principal Surface Scientist at Micron Technology since August 2023, previously serving as Principal R&D Scientist and R&D Scientist at Oxford Instruments Asylum Research Inc. from November 2015 to August 2023, focusing on the development of hardware platforms and accessories for atomic force microscopes. Prior to this, Haigang Zhang worked as a researcher at Argonne National Laboratory, where a low temperature and ultrahigh vacuum scanning probe microscope was constructed. Earlier experience includes a visiting student and postdoc role at UC Irvine Physics, contributing to the development of specialized scanning probe microscopy, and a PhD program at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in 2D materials growth and characterization. Haigang Zhang holds a PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the Institute of Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from Jilin University.
