Matthew Mesman has five years of work experience, beginning in 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Syft Technologies, where they reviewed instructions for assembly of complicated mass spectrometers to create a schedule and productivity standard, and inspected components for quality. In 2019, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Shimmick Construction, where they managed the design and production of a Clearance Template (CT) device, used Excel to help create a productivity and logistics tracking spreadsheet, and designed the CT to be light, storable in tunnels, safe to use, and cost effective. In 2020, they worked at Move2Play as a Product Development employee. In 2021, they worked at Nikon Research Corporation of America as a Mechatronics Engineer. Currently, they are working at Micropsi Industries as an Automation Engineer.
Matthew Mesman has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Canterbury, which they obtained between 2016 and 2017. Matthew then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed between 2018 and 2020. Finally, they are currently completing a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering - Product Design from the University of California, Berkeley, which they are expected to finish in 2021.
