Dr.-Ing. Orhan Can Görür has a wealth of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, and software engineering. Orhan Can began their career in 2009 as an intern at DAI-Labor, where they worked on a project involving gesture recognition using ultrasonic sensors. In 2010, they interned at Mercedes-Benz Türk A.S., where they gained experience in PLC programming, Simatic Manager software of Siemens, energy distribution, and SCADA software monitoring. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Aselsan as an Autonomous Systems & Hardware Design Engineer, where they worked on a project involving secure virtualisation of OS for secure communication. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at DAI-Labor at TU Berlin as a Technical Project Leader & Researcher & Lecturer, where they were involved in technical project management, product management, team lead, robotics and autonomous systems engineering, and applied science. Orhan Can also obtained their PhD in human-robot collaboration and adaptive cobots, and taught robotics and autonomous systems. During this time, they were also involved in two projects, BE-INTELLI, which was funded by BMWi (Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology), and CHARIOT, which was funded by BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research). Since 2021, they have been working at Micropsi Industries as a Senior Robotics Architect & Developer, and at Bearcover GmbH as a Robotics Consultant & Developer.
Orhan Can Görür, Dr.-Ing. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University in 2011. Orhan Can then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution in 2014. In 2016, they completed their Doctor of Engineering - Dr.Ing. in Computer Science - Robotics from Technische Universität Berlin. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Completion of C6000 (DSP) Embedded Design Workshop from Texas Instruments in April 2013.
