Hussain Rangwala

VP, Global Neurovascular Research & Development & Manufacturing Operations at MicroVention

Hussain S. Rangwala leads the Neurovascular Research & Development and Manufacturing Operations globally, comprised of over 2,000 Associates. Prior to his current role, Hussain has led the Research & Development function since 2020 where he oversaw the neurovascular product development and design control from product inception to process validation. He joined MicroVention in 2016 as the Director of Research & Development.

Hussain started his medical device career over two decades ago when he began working at Toshiba Stroke Research Center, the State University of New York studying and developing Neurovascular devices. Since then, he has been involved in the development of a broad spectrum of medical devices ranging from Peripheral devices at ev3-Covidien to Cardiovascular Heart Valves at Medtronic, and JenaValve Technology. He has held various R&D management positions in large-scale organizations to start-up companies.

Hussain holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Project Management Professional Certification.
