Shawn O'Leary

Shawn oversees the California Interventional Systems Business Unit and is responsible for providing strategic direction and development of oncology and peripheral vascular products for Terumo Corporation. He joined MicroVention in 2007 and helped steer original designs of LVIS, FRED, SCEPTER, PHIL, Roadsaver, Headway, and embolization coil products.

Shawn has 25 plus years of experience in medical device development. Past positions in R&D and Manufacturing include roles at Baxter Healthcare, LocalMed, ProDuct Health/Windy Hill Technology, RightTrack Engineering, and Orqis Medical.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
