Lindsey Speir, MHA, BSN, RN, CPTC has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Lindsey currently holds the position of Vice President Organ Operations at Mid-America Transplant since 2023. Prior to this, Lindsey served as the Director of Clinical Operations at the same organization from 2022 to 2023. In this role, they focused on improving organ donor management and recovery processes. Earlier, Lindsey worked as the Director of Hospital Services from 2019 to 2022, where they developed strong relationships with healthcare professionals and educated them about Mid-America Transplant's mission. Before their directorial roles, Lindsey served as the Manager of Clinical Services from 2015 to 2019 at Mid-America Transplant, overseeing the clinical teams and facilitating continuous education. Lindsey started their career as an Organ Procurement Coordinator at Mid-America Transplant in 2013, where they played a crucial role in maximizing organ donation and coordinating with the United Network of Organ Sharing.
Prior to joining Mid-America Transplant, Lindsey worked as a Per Diem RN at Boone Health from 2009 to 2013, gaining experience in various intensive care units. Lindsey also worked as an Acute Care Nursing Supervisor at University of Missouri Health Care from 2007 to 2013. Lindsey began their nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the Step Down Unit at SSM DePaul Health Center from 2006 to 2007.
Lindsey Speir, MHA, BSN, RN, CPTC completed their education in a chronological manner. In 2006, they obtained an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Columbia College. Following this, in 2011, they graduated with a Bachelor's in Science of Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Finally, in 2020, Lindsey completed their education by earning a Masters of Health Administration from Webster University.
Additionally, Lindsey holds several certifications. Lindsey received their Registered Nurse certification from the Missouri State Board of Nursing in 2006. Lindsey also possesses certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). The institutions responsible for granting these certifications include the American Heart Association and the American Board for Transplant Certification.
