Jim Kroska, CPA (inactive), CGMA has a diverse work experience in the banking and financial industry. Jim started their career at Bremer Bank, where they worked in various roles as a Financial Reporting Accountant, Financial Management Accountant, and Manager of External Financial Reporting. Jim then moved on to U.S. Bank, where they served as a Senior Financial Analyst, providing financial support for the Network Engineering line of business and playing a key role in the successful merger of USBancorp and Firstar financial information systems. Jim then joined Lawson Software as a Senior Financial Analyst, where they coordinated the strategic planning and forecasting process for the company. Jim later joined TCF Bank, where they held multiple positions, including VP - Manager of Financial Reporting, VP - Assistant Controller, VP - Manager of Reporting and Planning, VP - Director of Accounting and Reporting, and VP - Manager of Credit Risk Analytics/Credit Risk Consultant. In these roles, Jim managed the quarterly production process of the allowance for credit losses estimate (CECL), supervised staff, led various groups, and prepared consolidation of model results and presentation materials for recommendation to ACL Committee. Jim's most recent position was at MidCountry Bank, where they served as Vice President and Controller.
Jim Kroska, CPA (inactive), CGMA, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University. Jim obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 1997. In 2012, they also obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the AICPA.
