Mira Matar

Mira Matar has a diverse work experience in journalism and media. Mira started their career as a freelance reporter in 2018 before joining WTV as a News Anchor and Writer in the same year. In 2019, they worked as a Feminist Writer for Annahar Newspaper. Mira then moved to MTV Lebanon in 2017, where they initially worked as a Writer and Reporter before becoming a Content Producer in 2019. Mira also worked as a Political Presenter for Alaraby Television Network from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Consultant for Itad and later joined Daraj Media as a Feminist Writer. Currently, Mira is employed as a Journalist for MBC GROUP starting in 2023.

Mira Matar started their education journey in 2015 at the Lebanese American University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Journalism. Mira completed their undergraduate studies in 2018. In the same year, they also obtained a certificate from the Young Arab Media Leaders program.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Mira enrolled at the Lebanese American University once again in 2018, this time for a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs. Mira successfully completed this program in 2020.

Mira Matar's education also includes a certificate from the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change, which they acquired in 2017. The certificate focused on the subjects of Global Media Literacy and Global News.
