Latasha Jones-Patterson

Latasha Jones-Patterson, MSW, currently serves as a Senior Family Services Specialist in the Family Engagement Unit at the City of Newport News since November 2022. Latasha has extensive experience in family services, having held various roles such as Family Service Specialist II, where responsibilities included training and certifying foster parents and providing case management for children in challenging placements. Additional experience includes positions as an Emergency Services Counselor with the Middle Peninsula – Northern Neck Community Services Board, Family Service Specialist I with the County of York - Human Resources, and multiple roles in social services, education, and case management. Latasha holds a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University.
