Matthew Scorcia

Matthew Scorcia is an experienced operations reliability engineer specializing in display technology at Apple since May 2024. Matthew has also contributed significantly as a mechanical team lead and member at the Midnight Sun Solar Rayce Car Team since May 2022. Previously, at Meta Materials Inc., Matthew enhanced hologram production by 500% and improved quality by 300% through innovative programming and root-cause analysis techniques. As a mechanical design engineer at Delta Elevator Co Ltd, Matthew effectively reduced shop floor footprint and mass of a new elevator sheave through advanced design and analysis tools. At Welbilt Inc., Matthew improved production rates and optimized plant layout using AutoCAD. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, with an expected graduation in 2026.
