We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Manager with a focus on Workforce Education, Training (WE&T) and Workforce Development (WFD) to support our nationwide HVAC and Water Heating programs, including TECH Clean California. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for North American Program Administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating a vision for Energy Solutions’ WE&T and WFD products including plans for new programs and integration into existing programs.
  • Lead and coordinate WE&T activities for the TECH Clean California Program.
  • Represent WE&T in evaluations, stakeholder meetings, annual report, conferences and other events for TECH Clean CA.
  • Supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with HVAC, building envelope, water heating, and heat pump training organizations (including hired subcontractors, partner organizations, manufacturers, and distributors).
  • Serve as a go-to resource and conduit for shared services between departments, domains, and strategy.
  • Attend occasional trainings held by manufacturers and/or other market actors/partners with the goal of analyzing effectiveness of trainings.
  • Track market activity and developments to develop in-depth knowledge and ability to accurately predict market activity.
  • Develop familiarity with public data resources and finding relevant to Energy Solutions strategic interests. Report development as appropriate.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, supporting initiatives from ideation through structure development and go-to-market implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Ideally in an energy-related, environmental policy, environmental studies, engineering or business administration discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience or tenure in related position(s) with Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience or tenure in a related position(s) in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies and be comfortable through phone calls and face to face meetings.  
  • Familiarity with the HVAC, water heater, and/or WE&T preferred. 
  • Work experience in sales or at HVAC contractor, distributor, or manufacturer preferred especially sought after. 
  • Exposure to building envelope and/or construction supply chain is a bonus, but not required. 
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in primary role.  
  • Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis (using Excel) a plus.   
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred.  
  • Ability to work and thrive independently.  
  • Willingness to conduct occasional travel.

Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $105,000 - $137,000 / Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
