Joe Thompson has a strong background in finance and corporate strategy. Joe has held various roles at Midwich Group plc, starting as a Corporate Finance Manager in August 2017. Joe then worked their way up to become the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Finance Director - Europe, and Finance Director - EMEA. Currently, they serve as the Corporate Strategy Director. Before joining Midwich Group, they worked at PwC as a Senior Associate in Assurance from September 2012 to April 2016 and later as a Manager in Transaction Services from April 2016 to August 2017. In this role, they gained experience in financial due diligence, independent business reviews, and cash-flow forecasting. Their expertise extends to working with both corporate and private equity clients on deals ranging from £5m to £250m.
Joe Thompson attended Wymondham College from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained their A Level qualification. Joe then went on to study at The University of Sheffield from 2009 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. After completing their undergraduate education, they pursued further professional qualifications at ICAEW from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained the ACA qualification.
