Simon Heuberger

Simon Heuberger has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Simon started their career as a Proofreader at Gemino GmbH in 2007 and worked there until 2011. Subsequently, they served as a Lecturer in German at Axioma Language School, PET Languages, and Inlingua from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at FOKUS Sprachen & Seminare Augsburg_Berlin as the Director of Studies German. Simon also worked as a Research Assistant and German Teacher at the University of Warwick during the same period.

In 2013, Simon joined the British American Security Information Council (BASIC) as a Research Fellow, where they worked until 2014. Simon then transitioned to the School of Public Affairs at American University, where they held the positions of Research Fellow and Adjunct Instructor from 2015 to 2020. As an Adjunct Instructor, they taught various courses related to data science, political research, and public policy.

Simon's career continued to develop as they joined Preisenergie in 2019 as a Data Scientist, working there until 2020. Simon then moved on to the Political Analysis Journal, where they served as a Replication Analyst from 2017 to 2021. Following this, they worked as a Research Scientist at Klinikum rechts der Isar from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Product Analyst at Mika, starting in 2022.

Simon Heuberger has an extensive education history. Simon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in American Politics and Quantitative Methods from American University, which they pursued from 2015 to 2021. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Sociology at the University of Warwick from 2012 to 2014. Simon also holds a Magister degree in English Linguistics, Business, and Mass Communication from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they studied from 2004 to 2011. As part of their academic journey, Simon spent a year as an Exchange Student at the University of Adelaide in 2009-2010, focusing on English Linguistics, Politics, and Australian Studies. Before entering academia, they obtained a Civil Service qualification from Friedel-Eder-Schule in Germany in 2003. Simon's education began in Germany, where they completed their German Abitur at the German High School Cairo, Egypt, from 1998 to 2003. Simon attended High School Kirchheim in Germany from 1994 to 1998, and prior to that, they completed their early schooling at the German School Lagos, Nigeria, from 1991 to 1994.
