Susan Steffenhagen, AICP has a diverse work experience. Susan began their career in 2012 as a Student Assistant for the Georgia Tech Office of Human Resources. In 2014, they were an Urban Design Intern for the Nashville Civic Design Center. In 2015, they were a Historical Preservation Intern for the Metro Nashville Historical Commission, where they converted archived slides into digital photos and conducted research in the historic Nashville City Cemetery. In 2016, they were a Long Range Planning Intern for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a Planning & Scheduling Graduate Assistant for the Memphis Area Transit Authority. In 2017, they were a Long Range Planning Intern for the Tennessee Department of Transportation again. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Senior Air Quality Planner, Planning Specialist, Project Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Susan is currently a Project Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant for Milepost.
Susan Steffenhagen, AICP obtained their Certified Planner (AICP) certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners in March 2020. Susan earned their Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from The University of Memphis between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration - Operations & Supply Chain Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2016. Susan graduated from Father Ryan High School in 2012.
