Eric McLain

IT Associate at Miles Technologies

Eric McLain has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Eric started working at Lockheed Martin in 1994 as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to the Retargeter project and created benchmarks for the software. Eric continued to work at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer until 1996, where they created documentation for the Aegis Weapon System's ORTS program and simulated a satellite link delay between two workstations.

In 1996, Eric McLain joined ADP as a Software Engineer, where they designed and wrote parts of the K2 program, a client/server system for brokerage houses. Eric also modified the display format of quote data and implemented a subsystem for passing data between client and server.

Eric McLain then moved on to Verizon in 1997, initially working as a Software Engineer. Eric converted the Sales Service and Negotiation System (SSNS) from SSNS to CoFEE VB6/VC++ Windows client/server system. Later on, they took on the role of Lead Sys Cslt-Sys/Architecture, where they converted CoFEE to Coa web-based CRM and maintained billing/credit-related screens/interfaces. Eric also served as an MTS IV Cslt-System Engineer, overseeing the conversion of CoA to Optix microarchitecture and driving cost savings of $31.2M over five years.

In 2019, Eric McLain joined Legacy Real Estate as an IT Support Technician. Eric was responsible for spec'ing, configuring, and purchasing laptops and desktops, as well as installing and configuring Windows OS and productivity software. Eric also upgraded and replaced hardware components.

Since 2015, Eric McLain has been involved with Landmark Worldwide, initially as a Presentation Manager (Assisting), where they managed the delivery of sound performance and training new presentation managers. Eric later took on the role of Online Program Manager (Assisting), responsible for managing Zoom presentations for large participants in weekend course multi-hour sessions. This involved setting up breakout rooms and supporting participants in successfully connecting, as well as keeping slide presentations in sync with verbal delivery.

Most recently, in 2022, Eric McLain joined Miles Technologies as an IT Associate.

Eric McLain attended Drexel University from 1992 until 1997. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
