Bjarne Thorsted

Bjarne Thorsted is a Data Specialist at Miljøstyrelsen since July 2021, with prior experience as a Visiting Researcher at Odense University Hospital from January 2020 to June 2021. At the University of Southern Denmark, Bjarne conducted research as a Ph.D. candidate from March 2013 to December 2019, focusing on developing a diagnostic tool for head and neck cancer utilizing coherent Raman scattering microscopy and deep learning. Bjarne has also held roles as a Research Assistant, Student Research Assistant, Instructor, and Study Group Advisor at the university, where responsibilities included supervising students and conducting various research tasks. Bjarne’s earlier work includes positions as a Check-out Assistant at IKEA and Store Clerk at Fakta. Bjarne holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics, a Master’s Degree in Nanobioscience and Interdisciplinary Science Studies, and a BSc. in Nanobioscience, all from the University of Southern Denmark.
