Drew Child

Drew Child, Ph.D., PMP, serves as the Vice President of Research & Development, Regulatory and Sustainability at Milliken & Company since April 1993, with prior roles including Director of Research and Development, Program Director, and Director of Product Development. Throughout various director-level positions, Drew has led a division-level development group focused on significant growth initiatives and long-range product development efforts. Earlier in the career at Milliken, Drew worked as a Senior Research Chemist, contributing to the development of innovative processes and products in the textile industry, including electrically conducting coatings and flame retardant finishes. Drew's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution, along with graduate student experience at the University of Florida from 1988 to 1993.
